Dan from Portland writes:

Hello Emerson,

You may not remember me, but I will not soon forget you. I purchased
some photographs at your booth in Portland on Labor Day. I was quite
taken with many of them. You have a remarkable heart and eye. I am a
business consultant who tries to integrate spirituality into the daily
activities of businesses mostly focused on the owners and senior
staff.

My experience with you at the art show impacted me greatly and taught
me a great lesson about how business really is done when done at its
best.

I related the story of my experience in my blog – The Soulful
Executive – and added your website as a recommendation to those who
subscribe to the blog. I hope I wasn’t too presumptuous in sharing
that with others. I wanted them to have the opportunity to learn about
your work.

Here’s a link to the blog post:

I want to thank you sincerely from my heart for your generosity and
pray many blessings come to you and your family.

Peace,

Dan

A letter from Wendy Brown:

"Emerson",
Lady Tibet Diaspora (pardon my renaming her) has warmed my home.
Magically, just as I knew would happen, I no longer feel like a lost
soul rattling around. I have a friend. A warm, wondering, wonderful
Soul who stirs me. Oh, that she could know the Gifts she brings to
this woman a world away who is so grateful for her willingness to be
photographed.
I wish I would have asked you why she was standing there? Was she near
her home or just the place she worked with the millet? A farm,
perhaps? What she was doing just before the photo was taken and
afterwards? How did she react to having her picture taken? Did you
take more of her or her surroundings? Has she seen this picture? Next
year ... next year when you're back, I'll ask.
In February, I moved to this Alexandria place. Married more than a
year but living apart, this was to the place we'd grow old together. A
while ago, my husband suddenly packed & 'went back home'. He can't do
marriage. I knew. Still, I loved him & had hoped for other blessings.
One can't blame a person too much for things that can't be done ...
you may be hurt by how things go or don't go, but Love sees through
blame and understands even when you don't want to.
I didn't want to come out of the house today. Through the week, I'd
planned on it but when the time came to take the walk to town, I
didn't want to. Fussing with my will, I did take the walk. I'd whip
around the Art Fest, breath some fresh air & come home. It would be
good for me. ha!
Now I believe that Tibet's Diaspora called me. It was time to
experience your strong, emotionally provocative, stirring photos ...
and those quotes. Whoosh! It may sound odd or nano nano ... but I know
something else was at work today other than just Wendy, the anatomy.
It wasn't a day to browse or look at trinkets. It was a day to be
healed by seeing the work of someone who loves & respects life,
gently, profoundly. Your talent captures images of Universal human
emotions of people the world over ... bringing those images to people
who need to remember their own Core worth .... their own valuable
emotions.
I thank you deeply for using your marvelous gifts this way. I wish you
well. I hope you continue to move people with your works of art &
prosper while doing so.
I absolutely love this photo. Today is Christmas at my house. Thanks!
